Poster Session

The posters should be printed with maximum size of A0 in portrait mode (841 x 1189 mm). A short presentation (2 minutes) will be organized during one of the sessions. Information on that will be published after the registration deadline, in the preliminary programme.

Tutorial

Tutorial

A tutorial titled “Quality and Legal Management of Data and Products of Active GNSS Networks” will take place on Tuesday, May 26th, from 13:00 to 18:00 at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, Jamova cesta 2, Ljubljana.

The tutorial programme:

Part 1: Legal issues and relations between public and private active GNSS networks

Part 2: Quality assurance and monitoring of active GNSS networks

Part 3: The role of active GNSS networks to access national coordinate and height reference frames

The EUREF 2020 Symposium will be held at the InterContinental Ljubljana Hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of the old town centre.

On Tuesday, May 26th afternoon, the EUREF 2020 Tutorial will take place at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering.

On Wednesday, May 27th, a Welcome Reception / Icebreaker will be held on the 19th floor (restaurant B and terrace) of the InterContinental Ljubljana Hotel.

On Thursday, May 28th, the Symposium Dinner will be held at the restaurant “Gostilna na gradu” in the Ljubljana Castle. Prior to the event, a guided tour of Ljubljana will be organized, starting at the InterContinental Ljubljana Hotel and ending at the location of the Symposium Dinner.

Registration & Payment

To register to the EUREF 2020 Symposium please fill in the Registration Form. An invoice will be sent to the e-mail address provided in the Registration Form.

EUREF 2020 Symposium registration fees:

  • Symposium registration fee (includes symposium participation, lunches,            coffee breaks, conference material and social events):
    • regular, before and on April 20th: 250 EUR
    • late, after April 20th, but before and on May 8th: 320 EUR
  • Accompanying person (includes social events: welcome reception                      /icebreaker, city tour and symposium dinner): 125 EUR
  • Tutorial registration fee (includes tutorial participation, lunch and coffee            break): 40 EUR

No refunds will be given for any fees already paid. Substitutions are permitted at any time, and must be submitted in writing to euref2020@gis.si. Please include the original attendee’s name, and the substitute’s full contact information.

Please be warned that May is a busy tourist and conference time in Ljubljana, so arrange your accomodation well in advance.

Please note that all participants are expected to arrange and cover the costs of their accommodation by themselves. A limited number of rooms have been provisionally booked at preferential rates at the InterContinental Ljubljana Hotel. For booking at these rates please see more information in the following link.

As the EUREF 2020 Symposium is being held in the center of Ljubljana, many accomodations in the vicinity are available. You can find some of them here:

Travel information

Air

The Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is located approximately 26 km north of the Ljubljana city center.

Please check the airport website for connections.

The commute from the airport to the EUREF 2020 Symposium location takes approximately 30 minutes. A taxi ride should cost from 30 € to 50 € or more, so make sure to check the price before using it.

There is also a regular bus & shuttle service from the airport. Please check time tables here:

The airport bus should cost around 5 € and the shuttle around 10 €. They usually arrive to the main bus & railway station, which is 0.4 km (5 minutes by foot) from the EUREF 2020 Symposium location.

Train

Travel by train to/from Ljubljana is also possible. The Symposium venue is just a short stroll away from the main railway station.

Public Transport

Travelling around Ljubljana by city bus is possible only with a smart card Urbana (1.30 € for 90 minutes – multiple rides possible).

Taxis are inexpensive. Expect to pay 5 to 10 € per ride in the city limits.
